Healthy Baking
With Pastry Chef Karen Stiegler
Thursday, April 9th from 7-9pm $45
Come and learn how to make delicious baked goods that are moist, beautiful and healthy! Participants will join Chef Karen Stiegler in the kitchen as she demonstrates. There is a huge range of fantastic ingredients out there now at our fingertips, including white whole wheat flour, specialty oils, better sugars, and premium cocoas and chocolates. Karen will also discuss healthy fats, whole grain flours, fruits, egg substitutes and tricks, and nuts.
All these add up to more flavor, texture and nutrition in your baking.
Have your cake and eat it too while staying healthy!
Karen is a pastry chef who holds a Diplome in Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. She has personally tested and perfected the best recipes, and this course appeals to both new cooks and experienced bakers alike. After the class demonstration and discussion, we will enjoy the desserts with coffee at the end of the two hour session. Karen will provide recipes and all instructions, additional recipes, and a resource list for buying helpful publications, tools and equipment.
The course is limited to 8 participants and the price is $45.
