PEDOMETERS IN USE AT APF!

The Surgeon General recommends that each individual walk 10,000 steps (~5 miles) in order to improve fitness and maintain weight.  As a result APF purchased several pedometers and we are in the process of testing them with several clients. If you are interested in testing one of them, let us know.

So far our results have been great.  All of the testers have averaged 10,000 steps per day each week.  It seems to be a good awareness and motivational tool.

Recently the Washington Post ran an article about pedometers supporting APF's decision to try them. If you want to read the article clik here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/11/10/AR2009111001042.html?sub=AR
